Elli’s diary: Getting to know the city

We have been doing trips to different attractions in Kyoto during our days off. There are many things to see and experience here, for example temples, shrines and other historical sights.

These pictures are taken in Rokkaku‑do temple which is very near the Ryokan Watazen, Nishiki food market and Teramachi shopping arcade. The temple is quite small but beautiful and there are many interesting statues in the temple area. We also saw swans and huge carps swimming in the pond of the temple.
