During our latest days off we went to Kiyomizu temple and Kyoto Imperial Palace. They both exceeded our expectations. Kiyomizu temple is located by the mountains and it is very beautiful and stunning. The tour in the Imperial Palace is free for tourists (you only need your passport) and the tour leader we had spoke very good English. It was interesting to see the palace from the inside and learn about the old life and customs in there.

The Japanese culture is very original. When you visit Japan for the first time, you will probably be a little shocked because of all the differences. However, I was surprised how easy it was to adapt to this totally new living environment. We haven’t had any big difficulties or challenges. I enjoy living here in Kyoto and I think that the Japanese culture is really fascinating.
